Vibraphonist Stefan Bauer and Pianist Vadim Neselovskyi first met in Germany during a tour with a nine piece ensemble. Both are not only virtuosos on their instruments but inquisitive conceptualists and composers as well. That adds an extra note to this musical affair: unusual instruments meet unusual music, performed by unusual musicians. Bauer and Neselovskyi easily escape stereotypes and look for inspiration in their individual experiences and their European roots. Both had lived in Dortmund/Germany (albeit at different times), both now live in Brooklyn, New York.
