They are crimped over stranded wires to ensure permanent and reliable connections. Uninsulated wire Ferrules range in size from .14mm2 (28AWG) to 240.00mm2 (500MCM). Single Insulated Wire Ferrules are offered in three different series: Old DIN (W Series), DIN (D Series) and FRENCH (T Series). They range in size from .14mm2 (28AWG) to 150.00mm2 (5.0 O/D). Twin Wire Ferrules are also offered in the same three different series and range in size from 2x.50 mm2 (2x22AWG) to 2x16.00 mm2 (2x6AWG).
