They require the utilization of enzymes. It can be both for short and long strands of DNA. However, chunking the DNA was not that easy to do long ago. It would have been costly and deliberately consumed much time and effort to deliver the best results. One known mapping system is by transduction. It is used for breaking down longer DNA strands. There's known method wherein a molecular biologist needs to sequence the whole strand of DNA. The next step is to run the sequenced DNA automatically in a computer program. Even now, they are over killed in numerous applications for it requires a lot of money and laboratory time to complete the research and experiment. Resulting from the resultant DNA, chunk positions of sites can be possible. They are very useful, especially in molecular biology.
