Description: The Florida Insurance Trust (FIT), a one of a kind trust designed to provide cost effective insurance coverage for Florida’s not for profit agencies began operations on June 8, 2007. The Trust was formed under a new statute passed by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Governor Crist in January, 2007. FIT provides multi-line insurance coverages for primarily social service agencies who receive 75% or more of their funding from units of government. Non-Profit Insurance Services, Inc. (NPIS) is responsible for the day to day administration of Florida Insurance Trust.
